WHO IS TROY DANIELS?
Born & Raised in Roanoke, Virginia
William Fleming High School | VCU Rams | NBA
Troy Daniels is one of Roanoke's greatest athletic success stories. Born July 15, 1991 in Roanoke, Virginia, he attended William Fleming High School where he earned the 2009 Roanoke Times Player of the Year award, VHSL AAA First-Team All-State honors, and helped lead the Colonels to a Group AA State Championship in 2007. Overcoming the odds as an undrafted player and built a seven-year NBA career (2014-2021) appearing in 339 games across 7 franchises. Troy holds an NBA Championship ring from the 2020 Los Angeles Lakers. He is deeply rooted in Roanoke and runs the annual Dream Big Basketball Camp at his alma mater, William Fleming High School, mentoring over 100 youth per year free of charge.
